The Chelsea Farmers Market takes place from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Palmer parking lot. Chelsea Update is profiling vendors at the Chelsea Farmers Market.

Mostly Green Acres is a family farm made up of Cindy Melchert and Paul Jaeger and their three children, all of whom participate.
They specialize in meats and eggs, whole chickens, assorted cuts of pork including sausage and bacon, and in the fall they’ll have beef. They are also taking pre-orders for holiday turkeys.
“We give our animals the best life we can give them,” said Melchert. “Our pigs and chicken are soy fed and our cows are 100-percent grass fed.”
They live in Parma, MI, and this is their second year at the Saturday Chelsea Farmers Market.
“We meet so many people at the market who care about getting the best possible food available,” said Melchert. “I also like shopping at the market, and it’s at a really good location.”
