Vendor Profile: Family Circle Centennial Farm FCCF believes that everyone has the right to access fresh fruits and vegetables, They are committed to raising the highest quality produce through ecologically sound, sustainable and conscientious practices. FCCF owner Emily Griswold’s great great grandfather bought the farm and passed it along to his son’s family back in 1907. Now it is Emily’s turn to bring it back to it’s own roots by converting the 60 surrounding acres into an ecologically sound and sustainably practiced operation. The farm maintains roughly 7 acres of organic alfalfa (planted autumn of 2012) in an area that is slated for grain rotation in the future years. They have two CSA share sizes: Single and Family to suit your needs and sell at a few local farmers markets, like Stockbridge and the Bushel Basket Market. They also grow food year round in a passive solar hoop house and supply fresh greens, carrots, beets, radishes and herbs to a growing list serve of community members and restaurants! Please visit the Griswold’s this week at the Bushel Basket Market! |
