Maureen Lochey has been creating pottery for 25 years, and her wheel-thrown, hand-built stoneware pottery is for sale every Saturday at the Chelsea Farmers Market.
She and her husband Larry Lochey, live between Chelsea and Manchester. Larry likes to accompany her because, “I enjoy visiting with people.”
Maureen, better known as “Mo” says, “I do mostly functional stoneware. You can use it and get joy out of it every day.”
She does some decorative stoneware too, and it’s all dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe.
“I love doing it and will do it as long as my body will let me,” says Mo Lochey.
She, too, enjoys the people in Chelsea and all the positive feedback she gets.
“I love the vendors and try to get my gifts here,” she adds.
