Farmers Market Saturday October 22

GREETINGS ALL!

The market is held from 8am-1pm in the municipal lot adjacent to the First United Methodist Church on Park St. There is plenty of parking both on the street and in the lot behind the Purple Rose Theater.

Children’s Tent activity this week is: “Planting with Kitchen Scraps!” Come check out what you can save from your scraps to re-grow new foods.

**Reminder: Indoor Winter Market will begin on November 3rd at 500 Washington St., building 100 in the cafeteria – SAME location as the last 4 seasons. We will run through the end of December so don’t forget to come out this winter and see your favorite vendors!

I won’t always know exactly what these amazing vendors will have and sometimes unforeseen circumstances require flexibility and understanding, but this week we expect to see:

TANTRE FARM: Arugula/spicy greens, yellow beans, beets, raspberries, broccoli, carrots, cabbage, chard, eggplant, garlic, kale, leeks, lettuce, mushrooms (maybe), onions, peppers (maybe), potatoes, pumpkins, radishes, spinach, winter squash, tomatoes (maybe), and lots of fresh herbs like parsley and cilantro.

KAPNICK ORCHARDS: apples, cider, pears, plums, sweat baked goods, savory breads, nut butters and more.

LAKE DIVIDE FARM: certified organic seasonal vegetables

BRIELAND SHOULTZ: produces free range eggs, pesticide free vegetables, fruit jam and goats milk soap

(maybe) LAKE HOUSE BAKERY: super yummy baked good, sauces, chutney and more.

H&H SUGARBUSH:
 come get maple syrup! This is their last market for the season…

RATERMAN BREAD: delicious fermented sourdough breads

TIANI BODYCARE: locally source, hand crafted foaming soaps, bar soaps, lip balms, salves, lotions and more.

(maybe) LETTERING BY LINDSEY:
Seasonal custom lettering by hand; on pumpkins specifically, but other materials as well.

GOETZ GREENHOUSE: A beautiful mix of seasonal veggies grown with natural practices on their Centennial Farm!

(weather permitting) AFFEATHERMATIONS: Handmade and nature based wands, burn bundles and art for celebration and ceremony

SANDHILL APIARIES: raw, local honey in a variety of sizes.

FLUFFY BOTTOM FARM: nice variety of cheeses and yogurt

HEIM GARDENS: perennials, annuals, hanging baskets, custom planters, seasonal mixed vegetables

VOUGE-BOOGE: soy candle company with a variety of scents and sizes

LA BAGUETTE: baguettes, rye-sesame boules, madeleines, gateau Breton, torta, tartelettes, gluten free chocolate chip cookies

TWO TRACKS ACRES: pork, beef, chicken and seasonal vegetables

(maybe) Gary’s Granola and Cement Creations: hand made cement plant pots and other decorative pieces; plus delicious granola!
