Farmers Market Saturday September 14th!

Greetings all!

This is our final Yoga on the Lawn class with Sue. It has filled my heart to see this community out connecting with their bodies, minds and hearts and then connecting with the local food shed! Two things that I love dearly merging in one place! We hope to bring this back year after year. 7-8am; wear layers, bring a mat and a water bottle, all ages and levels welcome!

With that, here are the regular market details…

Where:  Palmer Commons Event Space, 304 S. Main St.

When: 8 am – 1 pm every Saturday through October (then we move INSIDE to the Washington Street Education Center from November 2nd – December 21st from 10-2!)

Who: YOU! Plus the best farmers, artisans and specialty food curators around!

Music: MacDonald Brothers will be out performing for us this week! Come and listen from 10:30-12:45!

Children’s Tent: David has something great planned from 9:30-12:30

 And now the vendors: (which are sometimes subject to change…both in attendance and what they can bring)

TANTRE FARM:  SWEET CORN finally!, green beans, Romano flat yellow pole beans, bulls-eye beets, broccoli, cabbage, purple carrots, collards, eggplant, garlic, kale, leeks, lettuce, red and yellow onions, blue, red, pink, and yellow potatoes, summer squash, raspberries, peppers, tomatoes, watermelon, winter squash, and lots of fresh herbs like basil, parsley, rosemary, sorrel, chives, oregano, thyme, and mint.  We also will be distributing CSA Shares and will offer prorated shares all summer long!

FLORE ORCHARD: (maybe) local honey crisp and gala apples out of Williamston! Only here for a limited time.

DEXTER FOLSOM: Dexter makes lovely bird houses that you will adore. 

CROOKED TREE GARLIC: wonderful varieties of garlic for eating and for seed!

TRAVKA HERBALS: Has back to school brought home some sniffles? Knock them out with fresh Elderberry Syrup and Feisty Cider, and browse other herbal allies for health and wellness. All ingredients are organic, with many homegrown or locally sourced

HANDMADE AND HOMEGROWN: Anna will be at the market with her hand made wares plus green beans, lima beans, and some raspberries!

CARLYE CRISLER: amazing oil paintings of our local communities. 

RATERMAN BREAD: Though they have been absent the last couple of weeks, Nick has delicious fermented sourdough artisan breads that we are so grateful for! His flavors include:  Original, multigrain, asiago rosemary and kalamata olived, rye, wheat and sesame 

H&H SUGARBUSH: get your winter supply of syrup! These folks only come when they can, so stock up.

LA BAGUETTE: a small bakery specializing in French baked goods, Lisa and Suzanne invite you to come and sample their products! They will have baguettes, rye-sesame boules, madeleines, sablés, honey roasted peanut cookies, gâteau breton, sorta di ricotta e ciocolate, gâteau aux fruits, brioche, and savory tarts

AWAKENED PROVISIONS: Kelsey has her amazing gluten free breads, muffins, cookies and granola along with bubbly cider vinegar infusions. 

KAPNICK ORCHARDS: All the fruits! They have such a wide variety of offering. Blueberries, raspberries, (limited) blackberries, (maybe) peaches, first of the apples and more.

HOPPY SOAP: Stephanie is a magical alchemist and makes lovely soap in a variety of smells. She also has balms and a super warm smile 🙂

THISTLE BLOSSOM HERBALS: Boo Boo fix it sticks, Lavender Linen Spray (no oils, won’t stain), healing moisturizing body balms, Go Away Bug Spray – deter those ticks, fleas and mosquitoes, Lip Balms, Body Oil Blends, Board and Spoon Butter – your wooden kitchen utensils need love too!, and so much more. All products made by Denise, chemical and petroleum product free.

JACOB’S FRESH FARM: Seasonal produce, eggs and honey! He will be offering a fall/winter CSA this year as well so be sure in inquire!

fresh. : coffee! Both brewed and beans (these guys are on their fall schedule and will likely only come twice a month, so be sure to stock up and ask them their schedule!) 

FLUFFY BOTTOM FARM: Delicious hand made feta, gouda, yogurt and more! Look for this long time staple of the Saturday Chelsea Market!

SWEET AND SALTY COOKIE COMPANY: Jeff and Jocelyn are amazing and bring a delicious homemade cookies: chocolate chip, M&M, double dip chocolate chip, store’s, dark chocolate pecan, maple oatmeal raisin, peanut butter and snickerdoodle!

PARA PARA CREAMERY!: Po Erlich is bringing his amazing cheese to both Wednesday and Saturday Market this year. Feta, feta spread, cheddar and gouda are his main staples along with brie, blue, swiss, mozzarella and asiago! Don’t miss his magic.

BRIELAND-SHOULTZ FARM: Greg and Joan offer free-range eggs, pasture raised poultry, and grass fed beef at both Saturday and Wednesday markets! They also raise chemical free, seasonal veggies and CSA. Goats milk soap and jam with the occasional sourdough pepper their table throughout the season.

TWO TRACKS ACRES: awesome, sustainable and naturally grown veggies, flowers and meats! Don’t miss Taik and his sweet daughter Lucy, who just celebrated her first birthday!

LAKEHOUSE BAKERY:  so much delicious bread, croissants, macrons, sauces, chutney and more! Don’t forget to ask Keegan about his Friday and Saturday night pizza.

HEIM GARDENS: a family business specializing in flowers and vegetables grown in the greenhouses and the field.

LAVENDER AND HONEY: Angela brings tea, lip balms, soap, bath bombs, salves and more. Come say hi and walk home with some body care goodies!

GOETZ GREENHOUSE: Sweet Corn, tomatoes, green beans and the rest of our delicious summer veggies. This centennial farm operation is such a delight.

BOB’S VINTAGE PLACE: Barb is back with her sweet little succulent planters! $5 make and take for the kiddos too. 

BORDINE FARMS: gorgeous Dahlia bouquets! 

AFFEATHERMATIONS:(**weather permitting) smudge sticks, fans and burn bowls, bark art, meditation wheels, rattles and other gourd products! Come visit Joan and her beautiful goods.

STONEHEARTH BAKERY: Adam has pepperoni rolls, cinnamon buns, a wide variety of breads, cookies and more! All artisan made and preservative free.

LAKE DIVIDE FARM!: Jim and Helen grow certified organic, seasonal vegetables in Stockbridge and have an amazing team of passionate farmers to support their efforts! They offer a flexible market-based farm membership and are committed to enriching the lives of their community by growing delicious, healthy and affordable produce while caring for the natural world.
