Farmers Market September 28th~

With that, here are the regular market details…

Where:  Palmer Commons Event Space, 304 S. Main St.

When: 8 am – 1 pm every Saturday through October (then we move INSIDE to the Washington Street Education Center from November 2nd – December 21st from 10-2!)

Who: YOU! Plus the best farmers, artisans and specialty food curators around!

Music: Loyse Huffman will provide the entertainment for this last musical week’s market. The next time we will have music will be inside the WSEC! Pull up a chair and enjoy! 10:30-12:45

Children’s Tent: David always has something great planned from 9:30-12:30

And now the vendors: (which are sometimes subject to change…both in attendance and what they can bring)

TANTRE FARM:    green beans, Romano flat yellow pole beans, beets, bok choy, broccoli, cabbage, baby orange carrots, purple carrots, cauliflower (purple, yellow/orange, Romanesco), collards, corn, garlic, kale, kohlrabi, leeks, mushrooms (maybe), onions (red, yellow), peppers (red, yellow, orange), pears (maybe) potatoes (blue, red, pink, yellow), raspberries, spinach, tomatoes, watermelon (red, orange, yellow), winter squash, and lots of fresh herbs like cilantro, parsley, rosemary, sorrel, oregano, thyme, dill and mint.  We also are open for registration with our 4-week Extended Fall CSA Shares for $140 starting Oct. 1 and will offer prorated shares as needed! 

HANDMADE AND HOMEGROWN: Anna always has something new she is creating…from her knit goods to veggies.

LAVENDER AND HONEY: Angela makes amazing body care products and does it with organic, sustainable and wild foraged ingredients. Check out her bath bombs, deodorants and lip balms!

DEXTER FOLSOM: Dexter makes lovely bird houses, and more importantly this time of year, bird FEEDERS that you will adore. 

CARLYE CRISLER(maybe): amazing oil paintings of our local communities. 

RATERMAN BREAD:  Nick has to miss this week, but look for his delicious fermented sourdough artisan breads next week!

CROOKED TREE GARLIC: this is the planting season for garlic! These folks have been busy getting seed in the ground and are hopeful to be back this week to sell their amazing garlic for both eating and perhaps planting!

SMELLZ SO GOOD: soy candles at their best! Carlton and Kimberly are amazing in what they bring to their products. Delicious smells that burn clean and super fun personalities to boot! Come over, say hello and find the perfect scent for your home.

LA BAGUETTE: a small bakery specializing in French baked goods, Lisa and Suzanne invite you to come and sample their products! They will have baguettes, rye-sesame boules, madeleines, sablés, honey roasted peanut cookies, gâteau breton, sorta di ricotta e ciocolate, gâteau aux fruits, brioche, and savory tarts

AWAKENED PROVISIONS: Kelsey will be on break for two weeks and no longer will attend our Wednesday market – be sure to check back to find her offering the 12th of October.

KAPNICK ORCHARDS: Apple Cider, apples including Honey Crisp, Barlett pears, prune plums, seedless grapes, donuts, baked goods, apple butter and homemade fudge.

HOPPY SOAP: Stephanie also has to take a break for the next few weeks. Please let me know if you would like me to connect you to her directly 🙂

THISTLE BLOSSOM HERBALS: Boo Boo fix it sticks, Lavender Linen Spray (no oils, won’t stain), healing moisturizing body balms, Go Away Bug Spray – deter those ticks, fleas and mosquitoes, Lip Balms, Body Oil Blends, Board and Spoon Butter – your wooden kitchen utensils need love too!, and so much more. All products made by Denise, chemical and petroleum product free.

JACOB’S FRESH FARM: Seasonal produce, eggs and honey! He will be offering a fall/winter CSA this year as well so be sure in inquire!

FLUFFY BOTTOM FARM: Delicious hand made feta, gouda, yogurt and more! Look for this long time staple of the Saturday Chelsea Market!

SWEET AND SALTY COOKIE COMPANY: Jeff and Jocelyn are amazing and bring a delicious homemade cookies: chocolate chip, M&M, double dip chocolate chip, store’s, dark chocolate pecan, maple oatmeal raisin, peanut butter and snickerdoodle!

PARA PARA CREAMERY!: Po Erlich is bringing his amazing cheese to both Wednesday and Saturday Market this year. Feta, feta spread, cheddar and gouda are his main staples along with brie, blue, swiss, mozzarella and asiago! Don’t miss his magic.

BRIELAND-SHOULTZ FARM: Greg and Joan offer free-range eggs, pasture raised poultry, and grass fed beef at both Saturday and Wednesday markets! They also raise chemical free, seasonal veggies and CSA. Goats milk soap and jam with the occasional sourdough pepper their table throughout the season.

TWO TRACKS ACRES: awesome, sustainable and naturally grown veggies, flowers and meats! Don’t miss Taik and his sweet daughter Lucy, who just celebrated her first birthday!

LAKEHOUSE BAKERY:  so much delicious bread, croissants, macrons, sauces, chutney and more! Don’t forget to ask Keegan about his Friday and Saturday night pizza.

HEIM GARDENS: a family business specializing in flowers and vegetables grown in the greenhouses and the field.

GOETZ GREENHOUSE: Sweet Corn, tomatoes, green beans and the rest of our delicious summer veggies. This centennial farm operation is such a delight.

BORDINE FARMS: gorgeous Dahlia bouquets! 

AFFEATHERMATIONS:(**weather permitting) smudge sticks, fans and burn bowls, bark art, meditation wheels, rattles and other gourd products! Come visit Joan and her beautiful goods.

STONEHEARTH BAKERY: Adam has pepperoni rolls, cinnamon buns, a wide variety of breads, cookies and more! All artisan made and preservative free.

SHAW CREEK WOODS: (weather permitting) David will be present with his awesome adirondack and michirondack chairs along with a smattering of other hand crafted wood pieces.

LAKE DIVIDE FARM!: Jim and Helen grow certified organic, seasonal vegetables in Stockbridge, and have an amazing team of passionate farmers to support their efforts! They offer a flexible market-based farm membership and are committed to enriching the lives of their community by growing delicious, healthy and affordable produce while caring for the natural world.
