The Chelsea Farmers Market takes place on Saturdays from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Palmer Parking lot.

Chelsea Update is profiling vendors at the Chelsea Farmers Market and this week it’s Frog Hollar.

Charlie and Judy Jackson purchased their Manchester farm in 1987. They named the farm Frog Hollar because they would camp at the farm and listen to the sounds of nature, which were dominated by the tree frogs hollering. They took the liberty of changing the spelling.

This year, Kathy Sposite is helping the Jacksons run their stand at the Chelsea Farmers Market on Saturdays. This is her first year doing so.

“I like the people, and I like being busy,” said Sposite about working at the market.

Frog Hollar grows more than 65 types of produce and offers full share, half share and single share CSAs.
