Farmers Market Saturday June 8th!

Greetings!
It’s Summer. For real. And I couldn’t be more excited about June. Yoga (this week from 7-8am on the lawn at the commons before market), Strawberries (fundraiser/festival happens NEXT week and, yes, I have a strawberry costume in the hopper), and veggies…this is the time of year that we start to really see the plants take off and fruits start to ripen. Join me at the market to enjoy the splendor!

Where:  Palmer Commons Event Space, 304 S. Main St.

When: 8 am – 1 pm every Saturday through October

Who: The best farmers, artisans and specialty food curators around!

Music: This week Bob Skon will join us for our entertainment portion. Come pull up chair and listen from 10:30 am -12:45 pm

Kids Tent: David will be guiding the children through a potato stamp making and painting activity! 9:30-12:30.

Hot Food!: Roaming Goat will be with us each week with delicious breakfast burritos and tea.  Veggie and GF options available. Come early so you don’t miss them!


We are looking for a couple of volunteers to help serve up our Strawberry Shortcake at the Festival the 15th of June! If you or any other amazing community member you know are interested in pitching in an hour or two of time, please email Coordinator@chelseafarmersmkt.org to sign up!

LAKE DIVIDE FARM!: Jim and Helen grow certified organic, seasonal vegetables in Stockbridge and have an amazing team of passionate farmers to support their efforts! They offer a flexible market-based farm membership and are committed to enriching the lives of their community by growing delicious, healthy and affordable produce while caring for the natural world.

THISTLE BLOSSOM HERBAL: Denise brings her love of body care and natural alchemy to the market with her salves, boo-boo sticks, linen sprays, bug sprays and more!

TANTRE FARM: arugula, asparagus, beets, bok choy, kale, lettuce, mushrooms(maybe), nettles, green onions, peppers, potatoes, spring radishes, Daikon radishes, red-veined spinach, rhubarb, white turnips, chamomile, chives, oregano, sage, and peppermint. They will be distributing CSA shares and are offering prorated shares all summer!

KAPNICK ORCHARDS: rhubarb, asparagus, (maybe strawberries) cider, sweet treats and nut butters

MERKEL GARDENS: family owned greenhouse providing bedding plants (both flowers and veggies), hanging baskets, herbs and cut flowers during the peak season. 

SHAW CREEK WOODS: David will be displaying his Adirondack and Michirondack chairs, wooden signs and more.

LAVENDER AND HONEY APOTHECARY: Yummy body care products made with care and concern for our environment and skin. Angela makes deodorant, salves, lip balm, bar soap, sprays, bath bombs and more.

JACOB’S FRESH FARM: seasonal veggies, eggs, honey and starts

fresh. : coffee! Both brewed and beans

FLUFFY BOTTOM FARM: cheeses, yogurts; (maybe frozen custard!)

SWEET AND SALTY COOKIE COMPANY: Jeff and Jocelyn are new to the outdoor market and bring a delicious homemade cookies: chocolate chip, M&M, double dip chocolate chip, store’s, dark chocolate pecan, maple oatmeal raisin, peanut butter and snickerdoodle!

PARA PARA CREAMERY!: Po Erlich is bringing his amazing cheese to both Wednesday and Saturday Market this year. Feta, feta spread, cheddar and gouda are his main staples along with brie, blue, swiss, mozzarella and asiago! Don’t miss his magic.

LA BAGUETTE: a small bakery specializing in French baked goods, Lisa and Suzanne invite you to come and sample their products! They will have baguettes, rye-sesame boules, madeleines, sablés, honey roasted peanut cookies, gâteau breton, sorta di ricotta e ciocolate, gâteau aux fruits, brioche, and savory tarts

BRIELAND-SHOULTZ FARM: Greg and Joan offer free-range eggs, pasture raised poultry, and grass fed beef at both Saturday and Wednesday markets! They also raise chemical free, seasonal veggies and CSA. Goats milk soap and jam with the occasional sourdough pepper their table throughout the season.

HOPPY SOAPS, LLC: (weather permitting) Offering handmade, vegan, palm oil and preservative free soap and body care products using 100% essential oils scents.

TWO TRACKS ACRES: Taik and Stephanie take a holistic approach to farming, which means they value diversity in their environment. They use natural methods to raise animals on pasture, and grow a number of different veggies and flowers. 

AWAKENED PROVISIONS: Kelsey is bringing her gluten free cookies, granola, and savory muffins along with dry herbs and teas, flavored vinegars and love of health to the market this year! 

LAKEHOUSE BAKERY: so much delicious bread, croissants, macrons, sauces, chutney and more! Don’t forget to ask Keegan about his Friday and Saturday night pizza.

HEIM GARDENS: a family business specializing in flowers and vegetables grown in the greenhouses and the field.

GOETZ GREENHOUSE: centennial family farm with three generations operating the beautiful greenhouses and fields. Natural growing practices for all seasonal veggies, CSA shares, hanging baskets, cut flowers and starts.

DEBBIE’S BEAD DESIGN: lovely hand crafted beaded earrings, necklaces and bracelets and wooden bowls.

HANDMADE AND HOMEGROWN:  Anna has a small scale fruit and veggie operation along with her lovely hand knit items.

SMELLZ SO GOOD CANDLE CO.:  these awesome humans are taking a well deserved and earned break to go fishing! Look for them on Wednesday.

SWALLOW TAIL POTTERY: Barry has amazing hand thrown pottery that is both functional and unique. From pie pans to brioche pans you won’t want to miss his wares.

BORDINE FARMS: dahlia tubers and plants!

AFFEATHERMATIONS:(**weather permitting) smudge sticks, fans and burn bowls, bark art, meditation wheels, rattles and other gourd products! Come visit Joan and her beautiful goods.

STONEHEARTH BAKERY: pepperoni rolls, cinnamon rolls, cookies, large assortment of breads
