Strawberry Festival at the Market!

Greetings All

Strawberry Festival is finally here! There are GORGEOUS strawberries coming out of the fields for you to take home to your tables.

From 10am -12pm we will be dishing up strawberry shortcake as a fundraiser for our food demonstrations. $3.50 ea or 2 for $6. There will be gluten free versions as well. We will host a scavenger hunt for adults and children alike with special prizes and Judy Radant will make a guest appearance for a strawberry food demo!

Our traditional market activity will also be in place…so don’t miss the fun.

Where:  Palmer Commons Event Space, 304 S. Main St.

When: 8 am – 1 pm every Saturday through October

Who: The best farmers, artisans and specialty food curators around!

Music: This week Keith Parmentier and his beautiful voice will grace our ears. Come pull up chair, grub some breakfast (and then a shortcake) and listen from 10:30 am -12:45 pm

Hot Food!: Roaming Goat will be with us each week with delicious breakfast burritos and tea.  Veggie and GF options available. Come early so you don’t miss them!

Children’s Tent: David will be making berry dye/ink with the kids for a fun crafting activity. 9:30am-12:30pm. Strawberry face painting by Jessica also available.

TANTRE FARM: Arugula, asparagus, bok choy, Swiss chard, kale, lettuce, mushrooms (maybe), nettles, green onions, potatoes, spring radishes, spicy greens, spinach, rhubarb, white salad turnips, and lots of fresh herbs like chamomile for (sleeping tea), chives, oregano, sage, and peppermint.  We also will be distributing CSA Shares and will offer prorated shares all summer long!

KAPNICK ORCHARDS: Strawberries! rhubarb, asparagus, cider, sweet treats and nut butters

SHAW CREEK WOODS: Hand crafted adirondack chairs, Michirondack chairs, signs and more.

TRAVKA HERBALS: micro-batch herbal products made with organic and wild-crafted ingredients and without preservatives or artificial anything. Infused with Reiki and sacred sound. Olga is delightful!

MERKEL GARDENS: family owned greenhouse providing bedding plants (both flowers and veggies), hanging baskets, herbs and cut flowers during the peak season. 

JACOB’S FRESH FARM: Seasonal produce, transplants, eggs and honey!

fresh. : coffee! Both brewed and beans

FLUFFY BOTTOM FARM: Keli Conlin has been bringing the Chelsea Market her creamery goodies for several years. Try her artisan cheeses and hand made yogurts.

SWEET AND SALTY COOKIE COMPANY: Jeff and Jocelyn are new to the outdoor market and bring a delicious homemade cookies: chocolate chip, M&M, double dip chocolate chip, store’s, dark chocolate pecan, maple oatmeal raisin, peanut butter and snickerdoodle!

PARA PARA CREAMERY!: Po Erlich is bringing his amazing cheese to both Wednesday and Saturday Market this year. Feta, feta spread, cheddar and gouda are his main staples along with brie, blue, swiss, mozzarella and asiago! Don’t miss his magic.

LA BAGUETTE: a small bakery specializing in French baked goods, Lisa and Suzanne invite you to come and sample their products! They will have baguettes, rye-sesame boules, madeleines, sablés, honey roasted peanut cookies, gâteau breton, sorta di ricotta e ciocolate, gâteau aux fruits, brioche, and savory tarts

BRIELAND-SHOULTZ FARM: Greg and Joan offer free-range eggs, pasture raised poultry, and grass fed beef at both Saturday and Wednesday markets! They also raise chemical free, seasonal veggies and CSA. Goats milk soap and jam with the occasional sourdough pepper their table throughout the season.

HOPPY SOAPS, LLC: (weather permitting) Offering handmade, vegan, palm oil and preservative free soap and body care products using 100% essential oils scents.

TWO TRACKS ACRES: Taik and Stephanie take a holistic approach to farming, which means they value diversity in their environment. They use natural methods to raise animals on pasture, and grow a number of different veggies and flowers. 

AWAKENED PROVISIONS: Kelsey is bringing her gluten free cookies, granola, and savory muffins along with dry herbs and teas, flavored vinegars and love of health to the market this year! 

HANKRA JEWEL: lovely wearable art! Sterling Silver and Copper wrap jewelry that you can’t resist!

LAKEHOUSE BAKERY: so much delicious bread, croissants, macrons, sauces, chutney and more! Don’t forget to ask Keegan about his Friday and Saturday night pizza.

HEIM GARDENS: a family business specializing in flowers and vegetables grown in the greenhouses and the field.

GOETZ GREENHOUSE: centennial family farm with three generations operating the beautiful greenhouses and fields. Natural growing practices for all seasonal veggies, CSA shares, hanging baskets, cut flowers and starts.

COUNTRY HILLS POTTERY:
(weather permitting) functional and beautiful hand thrown pottery. Maureen has a gift!

HANDMADE AND HOMEGROWN: Anna has a small scale fruit and veggie operation along with her lovely hand knit items.

H&H SUGARBUSH: yummy maple syrup, maple candy, maple everything! Don’t miss them.

SMELLZ SO GOOD CANDLE CO.: **new this season. Kimberly and Carlton are bringing slow burning soy wax candles and wax melts to both the Saturday and Wednesday Markets! The smells are amazing and their personalities too 😉

DOUG’S MUGS: lovely and functional pottery. Soap and olive oil dispensers, pie pans, mugs, clocks and more.

BORDINE FARMS: dahlia tubers and plants! 

AFFEATHERMATIONS:(**weather permitting) smudge sticks, fans and burn bowls, bark art, meditation wheels, rattles and other gourd products! Come visit Joan and her beautiful goods.

STONEHEARTH BAKERY: pepperoni rolls, cinnamon rolls, cookies, large assortment of breads

LAKE DIVIDE FARM!: Jim and Helen grow certified organic, seasonal vegetables in Stockbridge and have an amazing team of passionate farmers to support their efforts! They offer a flexible market-based farm membership and are committed to enriching the lives of their community by growing delicious, healthy and affordable produce while caring for the natural world.
